Start times may vary by 5 - 10 minutes.
Please make sure your teams are present at their upcoming court 10 minutes prior to their match.
If a team does not show up or have a full regulation team 3 mniutes after the Officials have called up a match. That team will be awarded a loss.
Sportsmanship
Following each match team captains are expected to fill out a Sportsmanship tag.
1 is a good score, 10 represents extremely poor Sportsmanship.
Any score of 5 or more will be followed up with a request for an explanation of why the poor score was awarded. That expalnation will then be passed along anonymously to the offending team captain.
Examples of poor sporstmanship scoring:
5 Score One team member does not leave the court when they are out, repeat offences throughout
match.
10 Score Team overall displays poor attitude, does not follow the honors system, argues calls made by Officials, uses excessive foul language, employs uncivilized methods of intimidation.
Those teams that accumulate a score of more than 55 points will be awared a loss in place of a win on their League standings. Plus an additional loss for every 10 points there after.
Teams found abusing the Sportsmanship scores may also be penalized in the same manner.
This issue will be brought to the team captain's attention before before such penalties are incurred.
League standings will be posted each week. The link to this page will be distributed in a weekly email.
A team's standings will determine where they are positioned in the League Finals, taking place on Sunday November 15th.
Points are awarded by the following standard:
Match lost is 1 point
Match tied is 2 points
Match won is 3 points
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams both in Pool A and Pool B.
Top four teams in Pool B will qualify to enter Pool A for the Winter League.
If space is unavailable the bottom two Teams from Pool A will be bumped into Pool B for the Winter League.
TEAMS
This is a co ed league. All players must be at least 16 years of age.
All teams must have a minimum of 6 players.
At least 8 players per team is recommended.
Teams must have at least 2 players
of the opposite sex to qualify for league play.
Each team must begin each game
with two members of the opposite sex on the playing court.
